Welcome to About the 80s! My name is Jessica and I wanted to create a fun retro blog, where everything and anything about the 80s is discussed. Everything from movies to TV shows to major events that happened in the 80s, my goal is to have it all here!
About the 80s first started out as a fun hobby. But as it grew, it became increasingly important to me as I realized the significance of this era and how it contributes to today’s society. Now I love dedicating my time to illustrating its details in weekly posts as it really is the best decade in history.
I also LOVE listening to 80s music on my way to work in the morning. My personal favorites are Van Halen, Billy Idol, Mötley Crüe, REO Speedwagon and Don Henley. As far as movies, Sixteen Candles, Better Off Dead and Ferris Buehler’s Day Off top my list!
